Aligner “tracking”
See where the edge of the retainer (red) does not fit snugly against the edge of the tooth (green), creating a gap. This is a loss of “tracking”, and in some cases may be attributed to not wearing the aligners consistently.
If you see this gap, first push firmly with your fingers to make sure that it isn’t simply due to you not inserting the aligner fully. If you still see the gap, then your doctor will need to address this with a treatment modification to get your teeth back on track. The less treatment modifications needed, the faster you will complete your treatment, so it is important to adhere strictly to the protocols given by your doctor.

In summary:
Do not dig your finger nails in the front of the aligners to remove them, otherwise they will crack
Loosen the retainer first in the back molar area, then gently wiggle it off as your proceed around the arch
Push the aligner firmly onto the teeth with your fingers. Do NOT use your opposing teeth to bite them into place
